Holy crap plot movement!
The Black Sea is looking for him, of course they’re tracking any and all radio calls.
Though one day I’ll do a write-up on the locations PK goes to. Probably when there’s a delay between pages. Sorry everyone, Summer is never a good time for me to make comics. o_0

So, is that a design for a bridal gown, sketched on the blue post-it in panel 3?
yes it is! Good catch!
Going out on a limb here, & guessing that the “Northern Straits” might be what little bit of (Cup-Get)’s “Northtown” remains above the waves … ?
You’re on the right path…but wrong location.
And it’s in that spot for a reason.
Will you be letting us get a better look at her tattoo soon?
Such body art usually has a story behind it, which I’ll be curious to hear.
Yup!
Though for a better view now than later it’s on my Instagram, here: https://www.instagram.com/p/CVYwoaOJKHi/.
There is. When asked about it she’ll give an answer.
I’m old enough to remember when “Idlewyld” was the name of an airport in Long Island …
… should we assume that this locale is in the former New York area?
The island is “IRL” about 100 miles from end-to-end, but in elevation, it’s little more than a sandbar. If the ocean is THAT much higher ‘in-story’, then all of that land would be completely gone.
Perhaps it remains in name only, at a New York location that’s further inland?
Honestly what happened to the planet is going to be brought up in the “Lore for the Lore Heads” pages.
Only very few spots on earth remained in the same place due to either the natural or human made events.
Sounds like whatever ‘event’ this was, it didn’t didn’t just melt the icecaps, but also shifted some tectonic plates.
Oh did it ever.
On a separate note, we currently have, “IRL”, a long-standing & well-established technology for putting a scrambler on your broadcasting device and a matching descrambler on the receiving device. The fact that the characters don’t use it implies that some very basic tech has been forgotten, & not reinvented.
This is true, in their time things like Social Media are gone, automobiles have ceased being produced, TV and the media as we know it are history, yet things like surveillance cameras, radios, and the ability to reach anyone anywhere is still around. As for signal scramblers and such? They’re there, but mostly for governments and really important people. A “simple” family in the rain-soaked Northern Straits really doesn’t need one.
@Aaron:
Reaching “anyone anywhere” implies satellite technology, which requires rockets, both to put them in geosynchronous orbit and to get people up there to repair them as needed. Without this, what alternatives could be used?
